When Benefit announced they were releasing an entire line of products dedicated to good brows I think I literally squealed with joy. I love brows, and I hold a very special place for Benefit in my beauty blogger heart. Their brow bars are the only place I will trust to wax and tint mine to perfection, and if you read my recent post, Brows That Wow, you’ll know that Brow Zings and Gimme Brow are my go-to products on a daily basis. So when I was invited along to a launch event held at John Lewis, along with the lovely Sheffield blogger babes, you can imagine how quickly I bit their hand off!

On Wednesday’s We Wear Pink

Seems as if June is finally starting to get it’s act together this week – we actually had some sunshine. Real, warm sunshine – remember that? Hopefully it’s here to stay (for longer than a few days at least) and that means summer make up! I’m normally a nude lip kinda girl and have rocked the YSL Rouge Volupté Shine in shade 8 more days than not since I bought it in February. But when the sun ups it game, so does my lipstick. I love a feminine pink lip for this time of year, and on my recent trip to Paris I picked up a couple of absolute stunners to add to my collection. So without further ado ladies, pucker up!

Make Up Must Haves // The Primers

I am most definitely a make up lover, or obsessive if you will. I own enough for me probably not to have to buy anymore for the next five years (but I keep on adding to my collection regardless). If you asked me what my favourite type of product was, I’d be hard pushed to choose but think I would have to go with anything to do with the perfect base; I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to the subject! Keeping that in mind, you might find it a little strange that I have only recently got into primers. Up until about a year ago the inside of my make up bag had never seen a primer. I like to think I’ve more than made up for that huge over sight though, and now have a great selection that can cater to my every need. I thought it might be fun to start a little series bringing you my top four picks from each make up category, and today we’re talking primers.

Parisian Adventures // 4

Welcome back to my travel journals! Where has the time gone – I find it hard to believe it really has been a month since I boarded a plane to Paris! Writing these posts is giving me the perfect excuse to relive it all, and look through all my photos (again) though! If you missed my previous entries, you can catch up here, here and here with how I spent my 30th birthday. Spoiler: it features Chanel and an afternoon of fashion heaven!

Parisian Beauty Haul

Sticking with the Paisian theme, but coming back to what I do best, I thought it’s round about time I shared with you a little beauty haul from my trip. As much as I am enjoying writing my travel journals (there’ll be more up later in the week), it’s been over a week since I featured anything specifically beauty related on here so here we have it! If you read my Parisian Beauty Hot Spots (you can catch up on that post here), you’ll know there were five locations I had my heart set on shopping in, and I managed to browse and purchase my way through every single one of them!

My Parisian Adventure // 3

Ok, so these travel journals are officially my new favourite type of content! And in just one weekend’s worth of exploring I have weeks worth of posts for you lovely lot. I left you last following an afternoon perusing couture fashion and gawping at Audrey Hepburn’s wardrobe at the Musée Galliera (you can catch up on my previous posts here and here) and so we come to the evening of my thirtieth birthday. If you read all about my Parisian Dreams, you may remember my desire to take a trip down the Seine on a river boat, experiencing it all from a different perspective. Well, I did it! I booked an hour long cruise departing from the Bateaux Parisiens and rested my weary feet (I’d done a LOT of walking) whilst we sailed past all of my favourite sites in the sunshine.

My Parisian Adventure // 2

Hello lovelies and welcome back to my travel diaries! If you didn’t manage to catch my last post, you can read it here. I loved reminiscing about breakfasting in Angelina’s and shopping in Chanel; writing about my trip makes the fact that I am back in an overcast and grey England a little more bearable! Today, I’m going to take you on a little throw back Thursday to the afternoon of my birthday in Paris, where I munched on macaroons in Ladurée, skipped down Saint-Honoré and feasted on fashion at the Musée Galliera.

My Parisian Adventure // 1

Ah Paris. The city that stole my heart. I have just returned from my third trip there, and it was a whirl wind of macaroons, make up and milestones. I decided at the beginning of the year that there was no place I would rather wake up on my 30th birthday, and I made that dream a reality (you can read about my Parisian Dreams here). I spent 5 days living the Parisian life, took hundreds of photos and ticked off plenty of things I wanted to do in my happy place (as well as adding many more onto that said list). I honestly think I could spend a life time exploring the streets there, and know for certain it will be one of those cities that I return to until the day I die. I thought I would try my hand at a few travel posts to document my trip, because it was too good not to share and it will be great to have something to look back on in years to come to relive those 5 days of Parisian paradise.

What’s In My Make Up Bag // The Parisian Edition

Ok, so you all know by now I’m off to Paris! In fact, as you read this, my Parisian Adventure will be well underway (expect to be bombarded with Paris posts for the next few weeks!) I had my heart set on preparing a couple of posts to schedule whilst I’m away, and thought what would be more appropriate than a ‘What’s In My Make Up Bag’ write up, but a travel edition. Being the nosey beauty junkie that I am, I always love reading these and hope you enjoy this one just as much.

Brows That Wow

For years now, it has been all about the brows. I think we definitely have the stunning Cara Delevigne to thank for this, and the whole of the female population seem to have followed suit. Gone are the days of thin, thread bare brows – thank goodness – with thick, full and groomed ones taking over the helm! Benefit have always been my go-to for anything brow related ever since I first took the tweezers to them. They have been transforming our face framers since 1976 (that’s 40 years!) so you can be sure they know their stuff. Other than their must have products, more on that later, they offer some amazing services at their Brow Bar counters around the UK. Waxing, tinting, brow mapping – you name it.
